Edith Swanson Walter, age 80, of Anoka. Passed away peacefully at home Monday, August 28, 2023. She served her family well as a wife and wonderful mom.  Edie was a co-founder of New Life Homes Crisis Pregnancy Center and owned The Balcony women's clothing store. She also facilitated many women's Bible Studies and co-led youth groups with John throughout much of their lives.

She was preceded in death by husband, John; and daughter, Angela.

Edie is survived by daughters, Lisa (David) Baird, Susan (Mike) Weddle, and Joy (Mark) Hess; grandchildren, Maia Walter, Lauren, Colin (Brooke), Jane and Zach Baird, Lexi (Eric) Day, Cali Weddle, and Alaina Hess; sisters, Judy House, Barb Silus, and Margie Decker; brother, Rick Swanson; and many other loving family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at First Baptist Church of Anoka at 12:00 noon, on September 5, 2023, 1235 Park Street.  A Visitation will be held prior to the service, from 10 am -noon.  Lunch will follow the service.
