Mellesmoen, Duane L. age 83 of Champlin, MN, formerly of Silver Bay,
MN, passed away July 11, 2019. He worked at Reserve Mining for
almost 30 years, he was also drafted into the Army, worked on the
Superior hiking trail and enjoyed his 13 years being employed at
Tettegouche State park. He loved spending time with his
family/friends, watching sports and being in the outdoors.
Duane is preceded in death by his parents, Oliver and Adele; and his
brother, Dean. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Carol;
children, Wendy (Jim) Ulrick, Neil (Steph) Mellesmoen, Becky (Tom)
Jaeger; grandchildren, Chase Ulrick and Lexie, Logen and Levi Jaeger;
siblings, Delbert (Annette) Mellesmoen, Dennis (Vernie) Mellesmoen,
Sharon Gerlach, Karen (Dale) Pickar; and many other loving family and
friends. A Celebration of Duane will take place on Friday, July 19 th , 2019
at 11 AM with a time to visit starting at 10 AM at Thurston-DeShaw
