Doris "Dorie" Mae Wood (Scheid), age 88, of Dayton, MN passed away peacefully on August 2, 2017. She was born on January 19, 1929, and grew up in St. Cloud, MN. She met and married the love of her life, Stanley F Wood, on September 15, 1962. She is survived by children Todd Wood, Troy (Eva) Wood, Tonya (Paul) Hendrickson, Tamara (Sean) McNattin; grandchildren James, Kelsey, Ryan, Taylor, Katelyn; great-grandchildren Emma and Kinsley; nieces Sandi, Linda, Julie, Jan, Joyce, Lynn, Carrie; and nephew Grant. She was preceded in death by husband Stanley; parents Herbert and Esther Scheid; sister, Evelyn Logeais and brother-in-law Larry; mother and father-in-law Pearl and Bob; and sisters-in-law Dorothy and Dinah.

Dorie served her community through her work at various senior centers, managed a daycare, and was an active member of her church. She worked full time into her mid-eighties as Coordinator of the Dayton Senior Center. This beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother will be greatly missed.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 6, 2017 at Mount Olive Lutheran Church, 700 Western Street, Anoka.  Visitation one hour prior to the service at church (1:00 - 2:00 p.m.)  Interment 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 7, 2017 at North Star Cemetery, St. Cloud.
