Donald E. "Don" Wilson (aka Zipper), age 77 of Andover, formerly of Roseville, passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2020 at the Estates of Fridley.

Don was born on June 3, 1943 in St. Louis, Missouri to Donald and Hazel (Helgerson) Wilson.  After graduating in the Class of 1961 from Roseville (MN) High School, he enlisted in the United States Navy.  Following his Honorable Discharge from the military, Don pursued a career in the trucking industry, most recently working for USF Holland.  Don was a conversationalist; he easily made friends wherever he went.  People remembered him for his friendly, outgoing demeanor and six-foot, five-inch stature.  Don had a passion for the open road, which was evident through his trucking career, his love for motorcycling, and interest in collecting classic cars.  He frequented the local car shows including the annual 'Back to the 50's' celebration.  Don's greatest love was for his family (including his dogs) and friends.

In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his sister, Joanne Hays.  He is survived by his wife, Diana; children, Anne Marie (Vince) Thomas, Brian (Alicia) Wilson, Tom (Julie) Holmstrom, Tim (Kellee) Holmstrom, Tonia (Todd) Johnson, and Tobby (Katie) Holmstrom; grandchildren, Nathan, Olivia, Jack, Leo, Crystal, Christina, Cody, John, Susan, Derick, Josie, Tiara, Kyle, Sunny, Rayana, Brenden, Colton, and Devan; 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Donald "Willie" Wilson; also many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
