Buettner, Donald John born August 24, 1931, in St. Cloud, MN. He passed on to meet his heavenly Father on December 11, 2024, quietly and peacefully at home with his family by his side.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Sharon and his children, Sandra (John) Towey, Michael Buettner, Mary (Mark Rockymore) Buettner and Kathryn Buettner, along with five grandchildren, Kristin Turner (Joe Herman) and Stephanie Ibsen (Daren) (nee Turner), Samantha Buettner, Paden Buettner, and Rianna Buettner and two great grandchildren, Ada Herman and Huxton Herman. He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary (nee Egerman); brothers, Norman, Milton, LeRoy, Howard, Jack, Jimmie and Ronald, his twin brother, and sisters Iva, Jane, and Bernice.

Don served in the Korean war and was stationed in Germany, worked at AT&T his entire career and retired at age 59. He enjoyed so many activities: golfing, fishing, bowling, wine making, wild ricing, hazelnut gathering, wood-working, gardening, and making or fixing anything. Memorials preferred to a local food shelf.

Funeral is at St. Patrick's Church in Oak Grove, address 19921 Nightingale St. NW, Oak Grove, MN 55011 at 11:00 on December 17th, visitation at 10:00 and luncheon to follow the service.
