Diann L. Pierce, age 81 of Coon Rapids, passed away on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at her home.

Diann was a Registered Nurse in the O.R. at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids for over 30 years.  As a caregiver, she was the most kind, selfless, generous person; always looking out for others and placing their needs before her own.  Diann enjoyed flowers, gardening, and baking.

In addition to her parents, Anton and Eleanor (Rieke) Korsmo, Diann was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Pierce; sister, Sylvia Korsmo; and brother-in-law, Robert Barbieri.  She is survived by her children, Brenda Pierce and Bryan Pierce; Daniel Chelberg; grandchildren, Derek and Andrew Thacker; sisters, Gloria (Joel) Kugler and Karrol Barbieri; brother, Charles Korsmo; and many relatives and friends.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at the United Methodist Church of Anoka, 850 South Street, Anoka.  Visitation 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Monday at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, 2005 Branch Avenue, Anoka, and one hour prior to the service at church (10:00 - 11:00 a.m.)  Interment West Oak Grove Cemetery.
