IN LOVING MEMORY OF

Sneesby

Devon Robert Sneesby 1995 – 2025
Devon was born on August 25, 1995, to Paul Sneesby and Dana DeZiel, Devon brought light into the world with a soul that was both brilliant and gentle. A proud graduate of Blaine High School's class of 2013, he carried a spark of curiosity and eccentricity that made him unforgettable to those who knew him.
Devon's heart knew no limits. He was the first to rescue a stray cat, the first to offer a comforting word or smile to someone in pain, and the first to share his endless appetite for learning with those around him. He lived with open arms and an open mind, fiercely loyal and endlessly kind.
Though Devon struggled with mental illness, his love for others never dimmed. His recent years were marked by challenges, but also by a profound belief—that his suffering was not in vain, but part of a greater purpose to help others heal. He found God in the connections between people, and in that faith, he stayed tethered to those he loved.
Devon is survived by his parents Paul Sneesby (Missy) and Dana DeZiel (Kris Moen); stepfather Kurt Stromlund; brother David Sneesby; sisters Cassandra and Anna Stromlund; and stepbrothers Jessie Reemtsma and Chad Moen. He is also lovingly remembered by his grandparents Galen and Beverly Sneesby, Barry DeZiel (Chris), Rhoda DeZiel, and Craig Miles; his aunts Kim DeZiel, Michelle Aldinger, and Justin Ruth Harbour (Aaron); his uncle Joe Madrid; his cousins Jarin, Justine, Shelby, Elijah, and Lexi; and his nephews Dex Sneesby and Benjamin Moen, other relatives and many friends.
A celebration of Devon's life will be held at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home in Anoka on Friday, June 27th at 2 pm with visitation one hour prior. Details for a second service will be shared once the date and time are confirmed. In lieu of flowers, donations in Devon's memory may be made to Good in the 'Hood (https://www.goodinthehood.org/) for the Will You See Me project — a cause that honors his compassion for others.
A time of fellowship and refreshments will follow the services at the Anoka American Legion Post 102, 400 West Main Street, Anoka. The legion is just a few doors west of the funeral home on Main Street.
