Dennis R Hanson age 78 of Ramsey, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2026. Preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Lucille Hanson; his brother, Donnie Hanson and niece, Heather May and his girlfriend, Sue Kelzenberg. Dennis is survived by his daughters, Kim (Mike) Hiivala and Jenny (Dan Almendinger) Hanson; his two granddaughters, Kayla and Paige Hiivala; siblings, Jim (Pam) Hanson and Carlyn (Bob) Schack and countless treasured nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews; along with his former wife, Judy. The family would like to extend their gratitude to Dennis’s sister-in-law, Roxanne Viska with love and support over the last several months in helping care for Dennis.

Dennis grew up in Minneapolis, MN. attending Patrick Henry high school and moved to Ramsey to raise his two daughters. Dennis loved spending his time with his daughters and granddaughters, going to the cabin, camping, dancing at the legions and VFWs, listening and playing music, telling jokes, enjoying life with his friends and family and attending car shows with his 1967 Chevy Impala.

A celebration of life will take place at the American Legion in Anoka, 400 W. Main St, Anoka on August 29, 2026 from noon to 4pm. Dennis loved his classic cars, those who have one please bring to the celebration.
