Deloris Jean Myrvik, affectionately known as Dee or Grandma Dee, was born to Raymond and
Alice Myrvik on October 9 th , 1940, in Marshall, Mn. She grew up in Minneota and started her
schooling in a one room schoolhouse and graduated from Minneota High School in 1958.

Attending Mankato State College, she met her first husband Layton Zimmerman, and they
married in 1961. They moved around quite a bit early in their marriage but settled down in
Monticello, Mn in 1975. They have 4 children: Deb (Dale), Barb, Lee and Dawne, 5
grandchildren: Jason, Nikki, Danielle, Connor and Riley, 9 great grandchildren, and 1 great
great grandchild.

In 2000 Dee married Norm Berg. They shared a love of travel and family and with other
interests it kept them busy for over 20 years. Norm added to Dee's extended family with 3
children: Ron (Kathy), Cheryl (Brad) and Rich (Trina) who added another 6 grandchildren:
Andrea, Derek, Jenny, Jolie, Isabel and Ahnika and 6 great grandchildren to Norm and Dee's
family.

Starting her volunteer work at Ronald McDonald House, it combined voluntarism with her love of
small children and babies. Norm shared her passion to volunteer and together they spent much
of their time helping others.

Her smile is legendary. Dee is a very special person who never met a stranger, her kindness
and generosity were known to all who met her, and she positively touched the lives of many.

We cannot express just how much we love her. Dee has left a hole in our lives that will be
impossible to fill, and we will miss her dearly.

Dee leaves behind her children, her husband Norm and his children, their combined 11
grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

She is preceded in death by her parents and brother Ron.

Memorial Services Monday, December 30, 2024 at 1 pm at Zion Lutheran Church, 1601 4th Avenue, Anoka. Visitation one hour prior to the services at the church. Interment Zion Columbarium.
