Delford H. Long, Jr., age 85 of New Brighton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at the Benedictine-Innsbruck Health Care Center in New Brighton.

Delford was preceded in death by his wife, Darlene Long; sister, Carolyn Gish; grandson, Luke Ollig; and granddaughter, Jennifer Buntyn.  He is survived by his daughters, Denise Reddish, Donna Buntyn, and Deanna (Steven) Ollig; grandchildren, Richard (Deanne) Long, Stephanie (James) Christofferson, Brandi Bueche, Eddie (Stevie) Pettigrew, Matthew Ollig, Lauren Ollig, and Alondra Ollig; 7 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Delford was an Honorably discharged Veteran of the United States Marine Corps, having served in the Korean War.

A Graveside Service with Full Military Honors will be held at Loma Vista Memorial Park in Fullerton, California.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
