Debra Jean (Oostenink) Anderson, 72, of Andover, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2026, at Mercy Hospital, surrounded by the love of her family.

Debbie was born on March 16, 1954, in Sioux City, Iowa, to Herman and Ann Marie Oostenink. She graduated from Hastings High School in 1972 and built a life defined by hard work, dedication, and love for those around her. She proudly owned a successful business alongside her mother before later retiring from Anoka County.

On January 18, 1975, Debbie married the love of her life, James Anderson. Together they shared more than 50 years of marriage and built a home filled with laughter, unwavering support, and cherished family traditions.

Those who knew Debbie will remember her quick wit, kind heart, and the way she made everyone feel welcome.

More than anything, Debbie treasured time with her family. Her greatest joy was being "Grandma" to Tyler, Ailie, and Ellie, who lit up her life and gave her countless smiles.

Debbie is lovingly survived by her husband, James Anderson; her son, Scott Anderson; her daughter, Lisa White (Bill); her mother, Ann Marie Oostenink; her sister, Roxanne Dowling (Greg); her grandchildren, Tyler, Ailie, and Ellie; and many aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Deb was preceded in death by her father, Herman Oostenink, and her brother, Steven Oostenink.

A visitation and celebration of life will be held on August 25, 2026, at Long Lake Lutheran Church in Isanti, Minnesota. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by the celebration of life at 11:00 a.m. and a luncheon immediately afterward.

Debbie's warmth, generosity, and unconditional love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Though she will be deeply missed, her memory endures in the family she cherished and the countless lives she touched.
