Trushenski
June 29, 1938 – December 27, 2017
David was born on June 29, 1938 in Sauk Rapids, MN to John and Elnore (nee Sendek) Trushenski. He graduated from Sauk Rapids High School and joined the United States Army, where he was stationed in West Germany. After receiving his Honorable discharge, David earned a Masters degree from St. Cloud State University and taught elementary school for 32 years until his retirement in 1996.
Since retirement, David and Karen enjoyed spending the winter months in Arizona. David enjoyed hunting, golfing, and fishing, but his favorite pastime was trap-shooting, at which he excelled and participated in leagues around the metro area. He was a proud member of the Metro Gun Club for over 40 years. Most of all, David loved spending time with his family and many friends.
David is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Karen Trushenski; children, Michael (Jennifer) Trushenski; Ann Marie (Jarred) Roy; granddaughters, Camille and Stella; siblings, Gail Trushenski (Milo Hennemann) and Roger Trushenski; also many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Anoka Covenant Church, 752 Grant Street, Anoka. Visitation one hour prior to the service at church (10:00 - 11:00 a.m.) Private Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Anoka Covenant Church or the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS.org)
