Dave Overbaugh, age 86 passed away peacefully at home on October 28, 2024. Dave grew up in Anoka, Minnesota and kept in touch with his group of childhood friends. Dave married his high-school sweetheart (Lila) and they enjoyed 67 years together while raising four children. He started working at Honeywell as an electronics technician after graduating from school and retired after 37 years. After retirement Dave found a passion for cooking and enjoyed preparing all the holiday meals for family and everyone else that showed up at his door. Dave loved riding motorcycles and often rode his motorcycle to work. He enjoyed hunting and fishing on both water and ice. He also enjoyed his Honeywell golf and bowling leagues and did so for many years. Dave and Lila enjoyed traveling cross-country by way of Am Trak and saw many historic sites. Dave's best days were the ones spent at the family cabin up north spring, summer, fall and winter. Numerous cherished memories were created there including the annual fourth of July celebrations that would start with the morning golf tournament,  followed by the famous all you can eat wild game feast, ending with the spectacular fireworks show off the dock for the grand finale.

Dave was preceded in death by parents Benjamin and Lillian Overbaugh and brothers Jack, Ben, and Daniel. Survived by his wife Lila; children Rory Overbaugh (Sharee), Kathy Kiel (Terry), Bill Overbaugh, Pam Knutson (Doug);and grandchildren Brandon (Megan), Jeramie (Becca), April (Dan), Gunnar (Megan), and Sophie. Three great-grandchildren, Oliver, Carter, and Mason, along with Maverick, Landon, Ellie, Logan, Laney, Conner, Aubry, Keira and Katelynn who all called him Grandpa Dave, along with his many nieces and nephews. Dave made a lasting impression on all who knew him

Visitation will be held on Monday (11/11/2024) from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM followed by the service at Thurston-DeShaw Funeral Home, 13817 Jay St. NW, Andover, MN 55304
