IN LOVING MEMORY OF
David Allen
Laflamme
June 13, 1952 – February 27, 2025
David Allen LaFlamme (Dave), of Andover, while surrounded by his loving family, went to be with the Lord on the morning of February 27, 2025, after battling a major decline in his health. He was 72 years old.
Dave was born to Clifford LaFlamme and Delores (Ruzich) LaFlamme on June 13, 1952 in Duluth, MN. He attended school in Duluth, Roseville and Minneapolis. In high school he was co-captain of the wrestling team and worked at the Officer's Club alongside chef Alex, who taught him the art of fine cuisine. After graduating from Roosevelt High School he joined the United States Air Force where he was stationed in Grand Forks, North Dakota and Anchorage, Alaska. During his 4-year stent serving his country, in 1972 he married Debra Ferrell. Upon discharge they made their home in Andover, MN where they raised their 3 boys.
Dave retired from Electric-Machinery in 2017 as a millwright working endless hours on large electric motors. He enjoyed his time while there and and was well known (by the gals for his head of hair) and was respected by many of his colleagues.
When he wasn't working he was actively involved in his son's lives coaching their soccer teams, spending time with them camping boating, waterskiing, fishing, and hunting.
Later in his life he was able to spend more time on his true passion, motorcycling across North America with close friends making memories. His 5 grandchildren were at the center of his heart. Dave dearly loved being in their presence and was most happy spending time with them at the lake, their school events and activities of their own. He often cooked dinner for the family (Thanks Alex!) to bring us closer together.
Dave was known for his devotion to his family, career and having a good time. Though as he aged, his faith became the pillar of his life, cherishing the life God gave him and trusting in the Lord to guide him to peace.
Dave was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford LaFlamme and Delores Crass and Stepfather - Robert Crass. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Debra LaFlamme; Sons - Ryan (Anne), Scott (Shallon) and David (Krystal); Five grandchildren - Amelia, Reilly, Andrew, Evelyn and Nora; Stepmother - Charlotte LaFlamme; Siblings - Debra (Kyle) Petersen, Cathleen (Michael) Rickard, Michael LaFlamme, Christian LaFlamme, Jennifer (Ray) Carroll, Cathy (Alan) Johnston, John (Tami) McGregor, Roxanne (Karl) Schneider and other loving family and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at Saint Patrick's Catholic Church, 19921 Nightingale Street NW Oak Grove, MN 55011, at 11:00 AM Wednesday, March 19, 2025 with visitation at the Church one hour prior to Mass.
The family would like to thank and extend their heartfelt gratitude to the Nursing and Hospice staff for their compassionate care and support during Dave's final days.
