Daniel Richard Ehlers, age 58, of Andover passed away February 21, 2023. Dan died as a result of a motor vehicle accident.

He was preceded in death by grandparents Edward & Bernie Ehlers and sister Julie Ehlers and Father-in-law Joseph Doran.

Dan was a proud IBEW Local 292 Electrician and a retired Andover firefighter. He was a wonderful husband, father, son, brother and friend; he was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. His spirit lives on in the hearts of those who knew him. Dan coached and refereed youth football for many years. Dan's greatest joy was his family; we all benefited from the love he showed us. He was firm, stubborn, kind and loved to joke. He was an avid Minnesota Vikings fan – SKOL!

Dan is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Maureen (Doran), sons Brendan Quinn and Bryce Conor. Father Richard Ehlers, sisters Ann Ehlers and Becky Ehlers, brother Tim (Diane) Ehlers, and brother Matt (Cailin) Henne. Mother-in-law Kathleen Doran, Michael (Patricia) Doran, Patrick (Carolyn) Doran, Kevin (Lisa) Doran, Colleen (Robert) Schuelke. Many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, including great nieces and nephews. And too many friends to mention.

A Funeral Mass for Dan will be held on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at St. Stephens Catholic Church in Anoka, MN. A public visitation will begin at 10 am, followed by mass at 11 am
