Dale LaRue Johnson, age 83, went to be with his Lord and Saviour November 23, 2019, at his home in Anoka, MN. Dale was born September 1, 1936 in Isanti county to Lawrence and Signe Johnson. He graduated from Cambridge High School 1954, Northwestern college (B.A.)1960 and was President of his senior class. He also earned a Masters of Divinity from Central Baptist Theological Seminary in 1964. Following 10 years of working at the Dayton Co., he dedicated his life through 40+ years of ministry by pastoring at Elim Baptist, Anoka, First Baptist, Madelia, First Baptist, Little Falls, and Meadow Creek Church, in Andover. Dale had a heart for people, and loved to spend time with friends and family over a cup of coffee. His personality and sense of humor would light up a room. He had a discerning spirit with a generous and kind heart that was remarkable. He was preceded in death by parents Lawrence and Signe Johnson, brother Lyle Johnson, and sister Ardys Conrow. He is survived by loving wife of 56 years, Sandra (Miller) Johnson, beloved daughter Stephanie (Eric) Naess, cherished grandchildren Sumner, Isaac, and Sierra Naess, and many nieces and nephews. Celebration of Life service will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, November 30th at Meadow Creek Church, 3037 Bunker Lake Blvd NW, Andover, MN. Visitation will begin at 9:30 AM prior to the service. All are welcome to the Interment at Long Lake Lutheran Community Cemetery, leaving the church at 1:30pm, immediately following luncheon.
