Charles J. "Chuck" Wical, age 58 of Andover, passed away on Monday, April 15, 2019 at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids.

Chuck was born May 23, 1960 in San Luis Obispo, California.  In 1986, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Technology from California State University.  He lived in Boise, Idaho and worked for Hewlett Packard before coming to Minnesota to connect with his biological family.  Chuck worked for Amano McGann and was very passionate about his career as an embedded software engineer.

Chuck was preceded in death by his adoptive parents, Elvin and Patricia (Post) Wical.  He is survived by his beloved wife of 8 years, Jenifer; mother, Shirley Patterson; father, Glenn Patterson; siblings, Gregory Lee Melby, Pamela Jean Clements (Ross), Jannis Kae Scofield (Gary), Robert Scott Patterson (Sherri), David Stuart Patterson (Tina), Joseph Charles Patterson (Nico), Ron Wical (Jill), and Mike Wical; father and mother-in-law, Don and Ellie Matthees; brother and sister-in law, Paul Matthees and Susan Burns (Ray); also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

A Funeral Service will be held at 12 Noon on Friday, April 19, 2019 at Thurston-DeShaw Funeral Home, 13817 Jay Street NW, Andover.  Visitation one hour prior to the service (11:00 a.m. - 12 Noon.)  Interment will take place in Oakwood Cemetery, Rochester, MN.
