Ehlen, Charles E. Age 86 of Anoka, passed away May 29, 2010. Preceded in death by parents, Charles and Magdelene; Survived by wife, Marion; children, Rita (John) Burgeson and John "Jack" (Nikie) Ehlen; grandchildren, Sam (Annie) Burgeson, CoryAnn Ehlen, Thomas Ehlen, and Susie Burgeson. Charlie played football for Anoka High School and later played hockey. He joined the Navy and fought in the Pacific during WWII. After the war he started and ran Ehlen Trucking, did on-call ambulance driving and was a volunteer fireman. Charlie was a good man, lived a good life and was a special father and grandfather. Mass of Christian Burial Thursday 12 Noon with reviewal 1 hour prior at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, 525 Jackson St., Anoka. Visitation Wednesday 6-8 PM at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, W.
