Obituary

Charles "Red" Beck, of Anoka, Minnesota, passed away on August 4, 2025, at the age of 90. A proud veteran of the Korean War, he earned two Purple Hearts for his service and sacrifice. Charles was a man of great honor and rich history, deeply proud of his family. Charles is now reunited in heaven with his beloved wife, Murlyne Beck. This past week would have marked their 70th wedding anniversary. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Isabelle Beck; many siblings; and his great-granddaughter, Keyana Sanborn.

He will be deeply missed by his loving family: children, Cheryl Sanborn (Denny), Charles Beck Jr. (Janine), and Kelly Stang (Gerry); cherished grandchildren: Shawn, Rebecca, Jennifer, Cheryl, Nicole, MaKayla, and Joseph; 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Throughout his life, he worked as a barber and entrepreneur. He possessed an endless amount of stories and he had a gift for connecting with others. He and Murlyne loved to travel together, spending summers at their cabin and winters in Arizona. He also had a deep love for all his dogs; especially his current good boy, Yogi.
