Carl W. Hedstrom, age 89 of Anoka, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Sunday, May 12, 2019 at his home.

Carl was raised in Appleton, Minnesota, and was a 44-year resident of Anoka.

In addition to his parents, Carl and Stella Hedstrom, Carl was preceded in death by his wife, Eva; siblings, Burt (Marilyn) Hedstrom, and Earl Hedstrom; daughter-in-law, Julie Hedstrom.  He is survived by his children, Linda Hedstrom, Chuck (Holly) Hedstrom, and Steve (Kathy Smith) Hedstrom; grandchildren, Natasha (Jeremy Hemmelgard) Hedstrom, Alicia (Jessie Treseler) Hedstrom, Kassie (Zach) Nelson, Megan Hedstrom; great-grandchildren, Addie and Lily Nelson; sister-in-law, Margaret Hedstrom.

A Memorial Service will be held at 12 Noon on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, 2005 Branch Ave., Anoka.  Visitation one hour prior to the service (11 AM – 12 Noon.)  Luncheon to follow at Greenhaven Golf Club, Anoka.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Carl Hedstrom Memorial Junior Golf Scholarship or Minnesota Public Radio.
