Our Dad, Carl Angell
Our Dad was loving, but not so much in a verbally expressive way. Our Dad expressed his love towards us by always providing a nice home, and plenty of food on the table. He expressed his love by providing us with family vacations. He expressed his love by providing us with our own mini-bike, snowmobiles, and horses. All these things were Dad's way of showing his love for us. I personally love all the snowmobiling trips were would go on with family and friends. These things and many more were ways our Dad expressed his love.
Our Dad was one of the hardest working men I knew. Our Dad would work six days a week working extended hours or double shifts most of the time. There were times when our Dad would work three days straight with no sleep. Then come home and do work around the hobby farm we lived on, or take Vicki to a horse show that she was excited to go to.
Our Dad was a jack of all trades. He could build a house from scratch, plumb it, completely wire it, then do all the finish work too. He could do anything he put his mind too. Our Dad is one of the men who has given me the 'I can fix anything' mind set.
Our Dad did allow himself some down time once in a while. My memories of this down time was watching our Dad laugh so hard when watching Laurel and Hardy on Sundays. I would laugh out loud just hearing our Dad laugh.
There is so much more to the story of our Dad, but time and space is limited. So I will stop here and just say,
We love you Dad, and you will be deeply missed.
God bless you Carl Angell, our Dad..
