Bacon, Byron V., Sr. age 91, of Coon Rapids, formerly of Fridley, passed away peacefully Sept. 27, 2014 with his children by his side. Former owner/oper-ator of Bacon's Electric. Former member of NECA, Fridley VFW, Masons and Shriners. Preceded in death by wife June of 66 years. Survived by children, Bonnie (David) Piepho, Roxann (Richard) Johnson, and Byron Jr. (Lynn); his sister, Geraldine (Nate) Johnson; five grandchildren, Tim (Melissa), Brittan (Ben), Ryan, Christopher and Aaron (Johntia); nine great-grandchildren; many other family and friends. Memorial service 11AM Saturday, October 4, at Thurston-DeShaw Funeral Home, 13817 Jay St. NW, Andover. Visitation 1 hour prior to service. Private interment Ft. Snelling Cemetery.
