Swanson, Bruce J. age 61 of Anoka passed away unexpectedly on March 16, 2024. Bruce was a longtime Anoka resident who was a very competitive tennis player and loved the intense competition of playing with younger players. We will remember his humor, uniqueness, big heart, patience and kindness toward others. He loved animals, especially his cats. Bruce served in the US Army and was stationed in Kentucky and Germany.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, Ron and Norma Swanson. He was survived by his siblings, Lisa (Tom) Endersbe, Brian (Ana Morales), Lori (Matt) Pope; nieces and nephews, Tori (Clint) Johnston, Erik (Natalia) Endersbe, Sean (Katy) Endersbe, Skyla and Broxton Pope; 2 great-nephews, Bo Johnston, Eli Endersbe.

A Celebration of Bruce's Life will be held on Friday, April 26, 2024, starting with a visitation from 10 - 11 AM followed by the service at 11 AM at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, 2005 Branch Ave. Anoka. A private interment will follow the service at Zion Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers memorials to the Humane Society.
