Abrahamson, Brock D. age 74 of Andover, Brock slipped the surly bonds of earth and touched the face of God on Aug 11 2018. He was held captive by ALS since Dec of 2013 but is now free. Brock was an amazing husband, father and grandpa whose greatest joy was his family. We will all miss his limitless love and hugs. He enjoyed the outdoors and looked forward to hooking big walleyes or sitting in his deer stand enjoying the scenery while waiting. He was also a patriot and proud USMC veteran and served in Vietnam (69-70). The family extends a sincere thank you to the VA healthcare system and especially to the staff at the Mpls SCID for their wonderful care and support. Preceded in death by his parents, Peter & Leone; step-mom, Ruth; Brock is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Nancy; children, Erik, Brady (Sonja), Sara (Dan) Wendt; grandchildren, Milaana & Milo; Kyla & Colton; Noah, Caden & Evelyn; sisters, Doris (Colin) Kortie, Linda (Brad) Chabot; step-brother, Jack (Margaret) Johnson; along with many other loving relatives and friends. A Memorial Service will be held Monday (8/27/2018), 11 AM with a visitation one hour prior at Constance Evangelical Free Church, 16150 Crosstown Blvd NW, Andover. Memorials preferred to ALS or MACV (MN Assistance Council for Veterans)
