Brian A. Holte, age 40 of Anoka, passed away on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at his home.

Brian was born on March 29, 1980 in Minot, North Dakota to Lyndon Holte and Judith Olson.  He graduated from Brooklyn Center High School in the Class of 1998 and worked in maintenance his entire career, most recently at Steinwall, Inc. in Coon Rapids.  With a strong passion for music, Brian was a self-taught guitarist who wrote music, as well as playing and singing in several bands.  He was a very artistic person who enjoyed painting, photography, nature, and writing poetry.  Brian was very kind and generous with a caring and sensitive personality.

In addition to his grandparents, Emil and Joyce Holte, and Joan Olson, Brian was preceded in death by his step-grandmother, Marian Holte; unclles, Gene, Paul, and Kirk Johnson.  He is survived by his parents, Lyndon (Kathy) Holte and Judy Olson; grandfather, Roland Olson; brothers, Will (Liz) Holte and Travis (Val) Holte; step-brothers, Robert (Molly) Sohns and Nick (Jackie) Sohns; step-sisters, Rhonda (Brian) Kingsbury and Angie (Jeff) Milberger; special friend, Shelby Brekkestran and her daughter, Elizabeth; aunts and uncles, Diana (Leonard) Coppes, Janet (Jim) Hubred, Jeanine (Jim) Dallin, Jeff (LeeEllen) Olson, Jay (Penny) Olson, and Jennifer (Kathy) Norson; cousins, Erik (Tina) Hubred, Brad (Kara) Hubred, Ted Dallin, Nathan Dallin, Matt Dallin (Laura), Darin (Maria) Dallin, and Autumn Olson; also many other relatives and friends.

A Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, 2005 Branch Avenue, Anoka.  The Funeral Service and Interment will be private.

Per CDC guidelines, social distancing and the use of masks are required.
