Bradley W. Schreiber (56) of Oak Grove died unexpectedly.
Brad was mostly known for his huge smile and friendly disposition.
He was a very loving, caring, happy and dedicated person.
His heart was so big and he was always concerned about others.
He loved to laugh and make others laugh. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends who loved him so much.
Brad first and foremost was a decorated Marine Veteran. He served as a Corpsman (Medic) through the Gulf War in Kuwait and Restore Hope in Somalia. He was awarded two Bronze Stars for saving the lives of two fellow Marines. He earned many ribbons and medals through his 10 years of service. Following his service in the Marines, he served two years in the reserves at Fort Snelling. His Grandpa (his Mother's Father), also served at Fort Snelling during WWI, which he thought was very cool. Brad was so very proud of being a Marine. Brad loved camping, rving, traveling, hiking, scuba diving and fishing. He got to dive while on leave in the Marines and had the opportunity of diving in many countries he was in. His favorite place to dive was Lake Superior where he dove many shipwrecks.
For the past 15 years Brad worked for Three Rivers Park District where he was a Park Service Officer. He was an EMT and instructed CPR for the Parks. He loved his job and all of the people he came across. He assisted many park guests that were injured and patrolled the Parks daily. Everyone appreciated his positive outlook and big smile.
He gave his health and the ultimate sacrifice of his life for the service of his country. He leaves behind his family, friends, colleagues, and fellow veterans.
Burial will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery on Tuesday, July 2 at 10:45am
