Obituary

A life well-lived is a life never forgotten.

Bradley David Motl age 62 of Ham Lake, Minnesota passed away February 14, 2026 surrounded by his family. Bradley was born on March 29,1963 to Allen and Arlene Motl in Robbinsdale. He grew up and resided in the East Bethel area. Brad enlisted in the Marines at the age of 17. He served 3 years and received an honorable discharge. Brad had multiple different careers, but he proudly started and managed his own printing business. Brad was great at making people laugh with his quick-witted remarks and jokes, whether they were nice or not. He enjoyed going on motorcycle trips, cooking/grilling, hunting, fishing and a good political debate. Brad also enjoyed various forms of martial arts. Brad was the Junior Golden Gloves Champion in 1979. He always looked for an opportunity to get together with family, where he would give life advice, tell great stories and light off fireworks. He had great musical taste that his children will always remember. Brad is preceded in death by his father Allen Motl, his mother Arlene Motl and his sister Amber Motl. Brad is survived by his children Jausica Swanson (Bruce), Loralie Leonhard (Dave), Mike Motl, Michael Motl and Amanda Motl, grandchildren Marley Stuhr, Aurora Field, Bruce Swanson, III, Bowen Swanson, Jacob Motl and David Leonhard, III, siblings Lori Meier (Bob), Scot Motl, Dan Motl (Jen), Mark Motl, Al Motl (Robin), Jereme Motl, Elizabeth Peters (Kevin), close friend John Collins (Kathy) and his loyal dog Gemma.

Snelling National Cemetery, 7601 34th Avenue, South, Minneapolis at 1:15 pm for a 2 pm interment service at the cemetery. (Meet on Assembly Area #2 by 1:45 pm)

"Forever my hero, forever my dad, grandfather, son and brother."

He was always there for us and willing to give us wise advice that guided us in a respectful, courageous and honorable direction. He always encouraged us to have strength through trials we faced in life.
