Obituary

Bradley Holmbo, 66 of Ramsey Minnesota, passed away peacefully on Monday August 9, 2021 surrounded by his family.

Visitation and Celebration of Life will take place at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home in Anoka.  Thursday, August 19 from 3-8pm visitation & Friday, August 20 11:00 am Celebration of Life; visitation one hour prior. A luncheon will be hosted by his family and Billy's Bar & Grill in Anoka at 1pm following his celebration of life service.  The family would like to thank Connie Tiede of Zion Lutheran Church for officiating his service.

Bradley was born in Anoka, Minnesota to Dean (Gib) and Lois Holmbo on August 3, 1955. Bradley and Deb (Duggan) married on August 7, 1976 in Elk River, Minnesota. The two met while working together at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids. After getting married, Bradley took a job with Federal Cartridge in Anoka. He retired from Federal after 41 dedicated years. Brad was involved in many selfless activities throughout his life. Of note,  many know that he had a heart for anything wrestling. His passion was born from the desire to give back to the sport that taught him how to fight. Brad battled and survived Hodgkins during his high school wrestling years.  This included not only attending every match his kids wrestled, but completing various activities supporting fundraising for new uniforms, mats, mat hoist, letter jackets and so forth. His desire to give back to his community also led him to volunteer with the Anoka Chamber. He gave countless hours supporting Anoka Halloween activities,  Anoka summer craft fair,  RiverFest and was dedicated to the success of the Anoka Classic Car Show for many years.  When not volunteering or working, Brad dedicated his time to his wife and kids. He was so proud of his family and was the best "bumpa" his six grandchildren could ask for.

He is preceded in death by his father Dean (Gib) Holmbo and nephew Jordan Holmbo (Pete and Tammy)

Brad is survived by his wife Deb, children: Adam (Alyssa), Josh (Jolene) and Rachael (Mike), brother Pete (Tammy), mother Lois, grandchildren: Charlee, William, Mara, Mason, Maxine and Dylan, Aunts and Uncles, many Cousins and countless others who became like family to him.  He will be missed by many.
