Beverly B. Olson passed away at the age of 93 on December 4, 2022.  Her memorial service will be on Thursday, December 8 at 11AM at Zion Lutheran Church in Anoka, MN.  The service will be live-streamed at https://youtu.be/whYP46NQTxA .

Beverly Bernice Berg was born on March 29, 1929 in Junius, SD.  She moved from Madison, SD with her husband, Roger and son Jeff to Anoka, MN, the Halloween Capital of the World, in 1959. Bev was an enthusiastic member of Zion Lutheran Church serving as a leader in elementary and preschool education, the Women of Zion and as a singer in the choir.  After her husband passed away in 1972, she began working in the Anoka-Hennepin school district starting as a library paraprofessional and eventually becoming a district office finance administrator for the assistant super-intendant, retiring in 2008 at the age of 79. She enjoyed bird watching, her amazing watch collection, being a true-blue "Trekkie" (Star Trek fan), singing with the "Treble Makers"(a playful group of performers), cruising down the fjords of Alaska, and spending time giggling with her many beloved friends.  Family get-togethers were always a highlight but especially her 90th birthday road trip through 16 states with her son and daughter in law to see all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her son Jeffrey J. (Julia) Olson, three grandchildren, Elise (David) McCann, Krista (Angelo) Naccarato, Danielle (Michael) Larson, eight great-grandchildren, her sister Mavis Wesley, and her brother Conrad Berg.  She was preceded in death by her husband Roger E. Olson, son Brian B. Olson, parents Conrad M. Berg and Bernice I. (Olson) Berg, and sister Carol Storvik. Memorial donations can be made to Zion Lutheran Church, Anoka, MN.
