Cooper, Beverly Ann "Bev", age 77 of Nowthen. Bev passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2016 in Andover, MN. She was born June 29, 1939 in Mpls, MN, moving at a young age to a farm near St. Francis, MN, where she attended Four Corners grade school and St. Francis High School. Bev continued her education after high school, attending Minnesota School of Business, after which she worked as a secretary, legal secretary, and paralegal. Bev was an accomplished seamstress, making many of her own clothes and clothes for her children. She was an excellent homemaker, cook and baker, a skillful bridge player, and a mother who was committed to the education and success of her children. Bev is survived by her husband, Jim of Nowthen, MN and their children, John (Beth) Cooper of Orlando, FL, Linda (Bruce) Finley of Plymouth, MN, and David (Judith) Cooper of Maple Grove, MN; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; brother, Richard (Judy) Olson of Nowthen, MN. She was preceded in death by parents, Chester & Frances Olson; and sister, Lois Olson. Bev was a strong fighter and carried that spirit until the end of her time here - she will be greatly missed by all who loved her. Funeral service 11 AM Thursday, (July 21, 2016) at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, 2005 Branch Ave., Anoka. Visitation one hour prior to service. Memorials preferred to the MS Society.
