Bernadette A. "Bernie" Sheldon passed away peacefully surrounded by family on August 20th, 2024.

She was born August 14th, 1942 to Raymond & Laura (Breyen) Scharber.  She was the oldest of 7 children raised on a farm in Burns Township Anoka County.  She attended St. Ann's Catholic School and Anoka High School. After graduation she went to Minnesota School of Business to be a Secretary.  She started her career at   Texaco Corp in Mpls.  She married Tom Sheldon on June 27th, 1964 at St Stephen's Catholic Church in Anoka.  Together they adopted & raised 2 children, Pamela Anne and John Evan. They enjoyed spending time as a family going on many vacations and camping trips. She enjoyed going to her kids and grandkids sporting events.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Tom; daughter, Pam; son, John (Jennifer); 5 grandchildren, Ryan, Sydney, Josh, Addison and Tyler,brothers, George, Frank and Steve Scharber; sister in law, Rhonda Scharber. She is preceded in death by her infant son; parents, Ray & Laura; sister, Helen and brothers, Donald and Joe Scharber.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at St Stephen's Catholic Church in Anoka. Visitation is at 10am with funeral following at 11am. Burial will be at Acacia Cemetery in Clearwater, MN.
