Boyd, Barbara Jayne (Knodt) Age 84 of Boston, Massachusetts, passed away on September 9, 2019. She was the daughter of Helen (Veidt) Knodt and Fred C. Knodt of Anoka. Though she moved a number of times, Anoka remained her first love. Barbara, a graduate of Anoka High (1953), Carlton College (1957), and the University of Minnesota (1966), spent her career as a teacher and counselor of the disabled. Barbara was the caring wife of Robert for 58 years, loving mother of Jayne Boyd (David Steiner) and Roberta Curtis (William Curtis); beloved grandmother of Rebecca, Julia, Daniel, and Jeffrey. A member of the musical Veidt family, she was a life long violinist whose interest in music inspired her children and grandchildren to include music performance in their lives. She was noted for her creativity, contagious laughter and a bright smile; her love of flowers and Bridge. Her life will be celebrated on Friday September 20, 2019 at 11AM at the Anoka Congregational Church, 1923 3rd Ave. S. Anoka. Visitation one hour prior to services at the church. Interment Forest Hill Cemetery, Anoka. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Anoka Congregational Church would be appreciated.
