Johnson, Arthur Warren age 95, of Anoka, born July 21, 1921, passed away on March 30, 2017. He was born in NW Hennepin County where his parents were dairy farmers. A long-time employee of General Mills, Art retired in 1983. An avid sports fan and gardener, he enjoyed attending his children's school activities, local sporting events and working on the family farm. Along with his wife, he was very devoted to his family, especially his 8 grandchildren. Preceded in death by his dear wife, Darleen; parents, George and Mabel (Gay) Johnson; brothers, Leonard (Pete) and Robert Johnson; daughter-in-law, Sharon Johnson. Art is survived by daughters, Susan (Al) Madison of New Brighton and Sheila (Jerry) Soma of Coon Rapids; sons, Mark Johnson (Gloria Watley) of Anoka and Mike Johnson of Andover; grandchildren, Katharine Schaeffer, Sara Ceniceros, Shari Kvam, Erin Benson, Evan Johnson, Amy Montgomery, Melissa Noll, Dana Johnson, and 15 great-grandchildren. Also survived by sister Marjorie Bradley of Coon Rapids, sister-in-law, Mildred Johnson of Lindstrom, brother, James (Marian) Johnson of Arizona and many nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 22 at 11 a.m. at the Anoka Methodist Church, 850 South St, Anoka, MN 55303.
