Arnold K. Carlson, age 93 of Anoka, formerly of Bloomington, passed away on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids.

Arnold was a WWII Army veteran who served in Europe from 1943-1945.  He graduated from Minneapolis Roosevelt, class of 1943; proud University of Minnesota alumnus, class of 1953.  Go Gophers!  Arnold was an auditor and CPA with the Federal government and Anoka County until his retirement in 1986.  He expected nothing from anyone and earned everything he had; a great husband father and grandfather who will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.

Arnold is survived by his wonderful wife of 65 years, Elisabeth; sons, Allan (Liz) of Eden Prairie, MN Kenneth (Vicki) of Ramsey, MN, Wayne (Judy) of Savage, MN, and daughter, Carol (Jeff) Jensen of Rancho Santa Fe, CA; grandchildren Laura, Martine, Nicole, Cory, Erica (Brian) Steven (Wendy), Jacob, Kyle, and Caroline; as well as one great-grandson on the way; sisters, Muriel Paulson and Joyce Folkerts.

The family would like to express a special Thank-You to the staff of Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids for their care of Arnold.

A private Funeral Service will be held.  Interment with Full Military Honors will take place at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.

Memorials are preferred to Disabled Veterans of America.
