Ardon E. Buscho, age 85, of Anoka, MN, passed away on January 1, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.

Ardon was born April 5, 1938 in Morristown, MN, the first child of Delmar and Sarah (Dick and Sadie) Buscho.

Ardon graduated from Morristown High School in 1956. After graduation, he joined the US Army and served at Pepperrell Air Force Base in St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada. He was honorably discharged in 1958. Back home, he pursued higher learning at Minnesota State University Mankato, earning a Bachelor's Degree and then a Master's Degree in Education.

He began teaching career in Iowa, and then spent the majority of his 35 years in education teaching high school in Park Rapids, MN where he also coached football. He touched the lives of his many students, and even inspired some to the teaching profession. As much as he enjoyed teaching and coaching, he loved the early summers he spent working on the Great Northwestern Railroad in southern Minnesota, speaking with fondness and humor of that hard work for all his years.

Ardon enjoyed the outdoors from an early age, horseback riding and camping with his cousins in his youth; and, as an adult, he especially cherished his time working in the woods, four wheeling, and sitting on the deck contemplating his own thoughts and relishing nature.

Ardon was preceded in death by his three wives: his high school sweetheart Marjorie Meschke, whom he married in 1959; Myrna Gehl, whom he married in 1977; and Susan Crossman, whom he married in 2008.

He was a man of few words who led by example and we are proud to be his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will live forever in our hearts.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday (1/8/2024) at 11 AM with a visitation one hour prior at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, 2005 Branch Ave, Anoka. Luncheon will follow at Green Haven Golf Course in Anoka.
