Obituary

In Loving Memory of Antonio (Tony) Scardigli

Antonio Scardigli, age 89 of Andover, passed away on June 18, 2023. He loved his
family, his work as a terrazzo mechanic, gardening, cooking, the outdoors and raising
his animals.

Antonio was preceded in death by his parents, Andrea and Rosina, along
with siblings Celestino and Ulivo. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Cesarina; sons
Andy (Cathy), Carlo (Angie) and Lucas (Carrie); grandchildren Sara (Matt), Matthew
(Christina), Anthony (Lauren), Michael (Kara), Sam (Anna), Jake and Avery, 8 great
grandchildren, sisters Piera and Anna, and many loving family and friends.

Tony was a beloved husband, father, Nonno and cherished member of our family and
community. Born in Ponte Buggianese, Italy in 1933, he embarked on an incredible
journey to America in February 1958 where he went on to build a beautiful life here
with Cesarina. They celebrated their 68 th Wedding Anniversary just last week.
Tony dedicated his life to his family and building the family terrazzo business, Advance
Terrazzo & Tile. His unwavering commitment and hard work were an inspiration to all
who knew him. He took immense pride in his children, grandchildren and great
grandchildren, his accomplishments and the legacy he created.
Outside of work,

Tony found solace in his beautiful garden and cooking. He would
often spend hours tending to his vegetables and yard but was always ready to take a
break and enjoy a drink with anyone that might stop over. He loved to visit and above
all, tell stories. Unknown to many, he was an outstanding cook. Whether grilling
steaks or cooking up a meal in the outdoor kitchen in his shop, all of his dishes were
like him, full of flavor and personality.

Tony's love for his family knew no bounds. His presence in our lives was a blessing and
his absence will be deeply felt. We will remember him for his strength, kindness and
wonderful sense of humor. He leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience and above all
else, generosity. There was never a visit from a son or grandchild where Tony didn't
offer food, drink, money, or anything else in his possession. He would literally have
given anything to his family.

As we gather to celebrate his life, let us hold onto the memories and lessons he
imparted. May we find comfort in knowing that Tony's spirit will continue to guide and
inspire us and forever remind us of the importance of love, family and the pursuit of our
dreams.
