IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Alice Ann
Mohs
May 9, 1955 – October 31, 2017
Alice A. Mohs, age 62 of Blaine, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Tuesday, October 31, 2017.
Alice was born May 9, 1955 in Bemidji, MN to Roy and Esther (Rudebeck) Frenzel. She married her beloved husband George on December 1, 1973, and raised her four children on the family farm next door to George's parents and only miles away from her parents' farm until 1987 when she relocated to Blaine to work in the wood flooring business - sanding, recoating, estimating, and matching flooring colors. Alice always had an eye for style, design, and colors, which she started to enjoy full time in 2001 when she started working in furniture sales and design. Her career in furniture sales and design at Schneiderman's ended during her health issues from stage four breast and bone cancer, though the care and support from her Schneiderman's family continued up until her death.. Alice focused on managing her health to spend time with family the final years of her life. The diagnosis of cancer in the lining of her brain in August 2017 was God's final call for her to come home.
Alice enjoyed cooking a variety of food enjoyed by friends, coworkers, and family. Most near and dear to Alice's heart were well acquainted with her homemade buns, caramel rolls, cherry coffee cake, and countless other treats she would share, and notably always the homemade buns she always made sure to have on hand and send home with her grandchildren. She had an eye for style, color, design, and fabrics, which she loved to work with at Schneiderman's and also at home when clothes shopping for her grandchildren. Not to forget the wedding dresses, countless bridesmaid dresses, baptism gowns for grandchildren, and clothing for family that she enjoyed sewing.
Alice is survived by her husband, George; daughters, Kristy (Jason) Gehrke, Sara (Mark) Sauer, Amy (Mike) Brede; and son, George (Cindy) Mohs, twelve grandchildren, Joe, Lilly and Anna Gehrke, Monica, Ethan, and Cassie Sauer, Alivia and Cecilia Brede, and Faith, Ariel, Gracie, and Dakota Mohs; siblings, Wesley (Janice) Frenzel, Marilyn (Ray) Steffen, Gloria (Glen) Thompson, Arnold (Sandy) Frenzel, Chester (DiAnn) Frenzel, Lucille Granger, David (Ann) Frenzel, Ray (Terra) Frenzel, and Denise (Todd) Bauer; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Esther Frenzel; and siblings, Louise Brambrink, Louella Bauer, Roger Frenzel, Melvin Frenzel, and Dean Frenzel.
