In Loving Memory of Albert Frank Bailey

April 26, 1931 ~ October 22, 2025

Albert Frank Bailey, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and lifelong musician, passed away peacefully on October 22nd, 2025, surrounded by family. He leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, and unity that will echo through generations.

Born with a craftsman's spirit and a musician's soul, Bert built his first home at just 19 years old in Thunder Bay, Canada. In 1950, while playing at a dance job, he met the love of his life, Rosemary Antoniak. That night marked the beginning of a remarkable 75-year journey together, filled with music, laughter, and unwavering devotion.

Bert and Rosemary married in 1952 and welcomed their daughter Paula in 1954, beginning a family that would become the center of his world. In 1960, Bert moved his family to Richfield, Minnesota, where he began a long and dedicated career as a pressman at the Star Tribune. He worked there for over 30 years, earning the respect of his colleagues through his quiet diligence and strong work ethic.

In 1969, Bert and his family moved to East Bethel, where he purchased 80 acres of land. In the 1980s, he partnered with his son-in-law Terry to begin a development project on that land, a testament to his entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to building a future for his family.

Bert's love for music never waned. Whether playing the saxophone or clarinet, his melodies brought joy to those around him. But above all, Bert was a loyal husband, a fantastic father, and an admired gramps and papa. His warmth, wisdom, and gentle humor made every moment with him a gift.

Albert Frank Bailey is deeply loved and will forever be missed. His life was a beautiful composition—one of love, legacy, and the quiet strength of a man who built not just homes, but a family rooted in harmony.

He was preceded in death by his beloved grandson, Jerry Holland; his brother Ernest Bailey; his sister-in-law Jean Bailey; and his brother-in-law Peter Vangel.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Rosemary; his daughter Paula (Terry) Holland; his granddaughter Jamie (Nick) Popa; and his cherished great-grandson, Cruz. He also leaves behind his sister, Beverley Vangel, along with many nieces and nephews.
