The family of Alan Chris Hofer of Ramsey, MN is saddened to announce his passing on October 17th at the age of 73. Alan was born in Park Rapids, MN on December 20 th ,1952. He graduated from Park Rapids High School in 1970 and then went on to Bemidji State University graduating in 1974 with an accounting degree. He worked at Land O’ Lakes in the Treasury department for 37 years. After retirement he spent as much time as possible on Leech Lake fishing with family and friends.

Married his wife Rosemary Scullen on June 14, 1975, and together they raised 4 children. While raising his children he taught them how to fish and hunt, helped with Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, and taught them all how to drive. Alan will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 51 years, Rosemary; children Theresa (Tim), Angela, Thomas (Molly) and Charles; grandchildren Emily and one to come in April 2027; siblings, Jackie (Denny), Nancy (Bill), Thomas, Trisha (Jeff), and Wendy (Scott); bother and sister in-laws, Robert (Gina), Martha (Mel), David (Chris), James, Joan (Ed), and Raymond (Julie) as well as numerous nephews, nieces, and friends.

He was proceeded by his parents, Christian and Mary Ann (Matejcek) Hofer; parent in- laws Myron and Dorthy (White) Scullen; brother, Fred Hofer; brother in-law Nate Alto; numerous aunts and uncles.

Celebration of Life will be held on October 28th from 1 to 4, at Thurston-DeShaw Funeral Home in Andover, MN.
