Aina Jean Essig, age 89, of Andover, passed away on March 6, 2023.

Aina was born in Superior, Wisconsin and raised her family in Anoka, Minnesota. She was an associate of ministry, poet, traveler, lover of children, counselor and beloved mother.

She was preceded in death by her sons, Daniel and Jonathan; sister, Ethel Smith.

Aina is survived by her daughter, Susan Essig (Bradd Perkins); and sister, Nancy Harrison, along with many other loving relatives and friends.

A Memorial Service for Aina will be held on Friday, June 2, 2023 at Thurston-DeShaw Funeral Home in Andover. The service will begin at 11:00 am with a visitation an hour prior.
